Rocky Mountain Conference Appoints Woman As Head Pastor

Lee Lee (that's really her name) Dart was appointed "Lead Pastor of The Adventure Seventh-day Adventist Church in Greeley.

In August 2015, Lee Lee Dart became RMC’s first female pastor for The Adventure, a 300-member congregation in Greeley.  As associate pastor then, she served as minister for discipleship, overseeing small group development, spiritual growth training, and mentorship for new and existing church members.  As minister for worship until 2015, Lee Lee Dart got to be known for her creativity in making worship services contemporary, and “most of all, Spirit-led,” as The Adventure former lead pastor Mitch Williams said.

Williams is pastoring a congregation in Pleasant Hill, California..

On May 13, she officially became the first female lead pastor in the Rocky Mountain Conference

The RMC News Nuggets is using this as their top story in their May 19 newsletter.  They claim to be "making history."

"This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well" (1 Timothy 3:1-3).
